We
are a family run Public House/Hotel on the quieter side of Scarborough,
two minutes from the North Bay beach and Peasholm Park and ten minutes
from the town centre. The North Riding Hotel was originally built
in the 1850's.

Our public bar has
a large screen tv for sport, a pool table, a jukebox and a quiz
machine. Wi-Fi access is also possible in this room. Our collection
of autographed cricket memorabilia are adorned on the walls. We are
big fans of Yorkshire Cricket Club.

Our lounge is the total opposite in character to
the bar and features nothing but conversation! We are currently
restoring the lounge to original features including the reintroduction
of a solid fuel fireplace and also an oak bar. Quiz nights are held
every thursday night which are hosted by the landlord and also the
regulars on a rotating basis, brain power is optional !Banter is
compulsory!!

Our reputation is gained from the quality of ale and homecooked
food that we serve. We have been awarded the CAMRA
town pub of the year on no less than four occasions. We are also members of Scarborough's
branch of CAMRAand you can find details of up and coming social
events on our pub notice boards.
